AMERICANLEGACYMAG.COM – Instagram has released a feature that can limit user interaction with unknown accounts. This means that the activities and uploads of users of this application can only be followed by accounts that are included in the close friends list.
This interaction limiter feature is already available in the Instagram settings menu. The choice of usage period is unlimited. Instagram allows users to set the duration of the interaction limit.
Reported from GSM Arena review , Wednesday, August 28, 2024, this new feature was developed by Instagram to provide security and comfort for social media users. With interaction limits, users are protected from unclear messages that enter the personal message column aka direct message (DM) . The risk of online spam and phishing is also expected to be reduced thanks to this feature.
Instagram still embeds a number of reminders to users who use this feature. Users are reminded to disable the interaction limiter for a certain period of time. There is also an option to limit interactions with current followers or with accounts that do not follow each other.
The interaction limiter feature is considered more convenient to use than blocking new or unknown accounts. Moreover, blocking accounts still feels unusual and is not used to being done by some users.
