AMERICANLEGACYMAG – Google launched Gemini Live, an artificial intelligence or AI- based conversation feature for Android users. This feature is similar to an AI chatbot , but different because it can respond to conversations in real-time .
“Want to brainstorm potential jobs that fit your skills or degree? Go live with a Gemini and ask them,” Google said in its official blog on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Google says users can interrupt Gemini Live in the middle of a conversation, just like a real conversation partner. Gemini Live can be used without having to unlock the device screen. This means users can chat with Gemini AI in the background or when the phone is locked.
This latest feature has just been launched in English and is intended for Gemini Advanced customers, aka paid customers on Android. Google management also promises that this feature will be expanded to iOS devices with more diverse languages.
“To make talking to Gemini feel more natural, we’re also introducing 10 new voices to choose from,” the Google team said in the same statement.
Google also promises to improve speed and quality with Gemini over the next few months. The tech giant will roll out deeper integration with Google Home, including its phone and messaging features.
Reported from GSM Arena , a number of global technology analysts have questioned the launch of the Gemini Live feature. According to them, the capabilities offered by Gemini Live are not much different from Google Assistant. The smart assistant feature can also be spoken to and can meet the digital needs of Android users.
